Corrections
How to tell us about a mistake on North Carolina Paycheck Calculator, and what we do about it.
If anything on this site is wrong, whether an answer, a rate, a date or a sentence, we want to fix it.
How to tell us
Email contact@northcarolinapaycheckcalculator.com with:
- the address of the page;
- what you typed into the calculator, if it is about an answer (please leave out your name, Social Security number and anything else that identifies you: we don’t need it);
- what looks wrong, and what you expected, for example the amount on your pay stub;
- a link to an official source, if you have one.
What we do
We check what you sent against the official documents our figures come from (the IRS, the Social Security Administration, the North Carolina Department of Revenue and the North Carolina General Assembly) and against the arithmetic. If we got something wrong, we correct it. When a correction changes what a page says, rather than only its wording, the page says what changed and when.
Each new year
Tax figures change every January. When the IRS publishes the new Publication 15-T and the Department of Revenue the new Form NC-30, usually in December, we update the calculators and every page that states a figure, and each page shows the day its figures were checked.
